Shift Team Leader - Energy from Waste

We're seeking a dedicated Shift Team Leader to lead our clients plant's daily operations, maintenance, and safety protocols, all while driving a culture of excellence within the team.
Job Purpose:
- Dive into the heart of our operations and contribute to the ongoing engineering of the plant.
- Elevate the plant's performance to new heights, ensuring high quality, safety, and environmental standards are met.
- Embrace the challenge of a 24/7 operational rhythm with a nimble and adaptable approach, fostering a work culture that radiates positivity.
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Leadership: Be the guiding force behind our clients team's achievements, orchestrating activities, and stepping up when the team needs you.
- Safety: Champion safety in action from shaping safe work practices to refining safety assessments, all while maintaining a secure work haven.
- Planning: Organise and prioritise tasks like a maestro, ensuring seamless operations and peak plant performance.
- Process: Understand Energy from Waste process, DCS control system, technical assessments, material reception/removal, safe boiler operation.
- Developments: Support maintenance operations, training, contribute to equipment development, and seek improvement opportunities.
- Reporting: Monitor progress, maintain accurate records, report plant operations, and manage stock levels.
Role Requirements:
- Safetyoriented mindset, team collaboration, flexibility, innovative problemsolving, thorough process understanding, willingness to train and provide training, experience in related industry, leadership skills, IT proficiency, strong numeracy and literacy skills.
- Relevant qualifications or experience in process, electrical, instrumentation/controls, or mechanical fields, team management experience, knowledge of business and management principles.
- NEBOSH Certificate (or equivalent)
- CompEx/Atex Foundation
- Management Qualifications
- Pressure Systems / LOTO
- Confined Space
- BOAS certified or similar
- HV Switching
Key Information
- 24/7 Shift Rota
- 12 hours shifts
- Reporting to Plant Manager
- Training Provided
- Salary offering between £47,000 £54,000 per annum
- Located near Swindon
