Full Time, 37 hours per week (term time only) 39 weeks per annum
Marland is a successful all age (KS1-4) special school for students with Social, Emotional and/or Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

It is located across four sites; Peters Marland, Barnstaple and Central Bideford and has just opened a new 'Secondary Day School' (Yr7-Yr11) in East of the Water, Bideford for 40 students.

This post will be based at Marland Primary School.

The overall Marland group of schools are currently graded as 'Good' by Ofsted Education, with the residential care provision separately judged to be 'Outstanding' by Ofsted Social Care inspectorate.

Our overarching ethos is based around personalisation and meeting the needs of each individual child. We utilise 'THRIVE' based social and emotional development at the core of everything we do.

We are looking for a Senior Teaching Assistant to support the Learning Support Manager with the management and learning of students who withdraw themselves, or who are withdrawn from their scheduled classes due to short term difficulties.

Under the direction of the Learning Support Manager to manage the withdrawal room and ensure that it is set up, maintained, managed and utilised as effectively and efficiently as possible in accordance with agreed Marland policy & procedure.

As a member of the Senior TA Team to undertake occasional cover supervision of whole classes as / if required.

This role requires a DBS disclosure.
This role requires the ability to fulfil all spoken aspects of the role with confidence and fluency in English.
