We are looking for a Electrical Business Development Manager to join our busy team in our Head Office in Kings Norton

Electrical Business Development Manager Responsibilities:

To promote and proactively sell adi Electrical core business competencies, process installation and maintenance.

  • Build on relationships with existing client base and grow orderbook.
  • Generate new sales leads and contacts.
  • Forecast sales targets and ensure delivery.
  • Become an ambassador for adi Electrical and promote to prospective clients
  • Proactively convert quotations to orders.
  • Follow up on order delivery and provide feedback to adi Electrical Management Team.
  • Provide feedback to the adi Electrical Management team on customer perspectives and market insight.
  • Be well organised and prepared for the planning and executing meetings, focusing on effective prequalification and using any supporting materials.
  • Fully utilise the company systems to manage your opportunities and pipeline.
  • Along with your main duties, you will also be expected to carry out any other duties that are reasonably asked of you.

Electrical Business Development Manager Requirements:


  • Graduate or equivalent with an engineering, commercial or product development background.
  • Proven record of success in business development and or sales and marketing with strong understanding and exposure to operations, engineering, distribution and supply chain.
  • Proven record of being highly commercial and results driven, with a creative and innovative approach.
  • Full understanding and proven ability to enhance revenue, margins and operating profit to meet near term and long term goals.
  • Ability and experience of operating within an electrical engineering services business and a balance of working both strategically and operationally.
  • Broad based technical and business knowledge of the Manufacturing industry, including an existing network of senior contacts within the sector.
  • Able to identify commercial opportunities with clients and to keep the clients' interests front of mind, creating strong and indepth relationships.
  • Excellent and proven interpersonal, negotiation and influencing skills.
  • A high level of drive and personal commitment.
  • Working well under pressure, and engaging at all levels of the organisation both internally and externally.
  • Good business acumen, ability to interpret financial data and make well informed sound business decisions.
  • Determined to overcome unexpected obstacles to get to the right solution.
  • Deliver on promises, do what he/she says they will do, when they say they will do it.
  • High degree of integrity, always prepared to do the right thing.
  • Resilient and selfmotivated.
