To maintain effective and efficient recruitment systems, making sure that tracking systems are in place for all vacancies.

Maintain and update information on the Electronic Staff Record system (ESR) and assist with the continuous development of the system To liaise with Shared Services and Royal Colleges to ensure an effective HR service to the Speciality Trainee/Specialist Registrar grades.

To ensure that all staff attend the Trust induction programme and assist where necessary in the induction process.

To provide information to line managers and medical staff on terms and conditions of service in line with Trust policies and procedures.


Advisory Support To act as the designated Advisor for specified Directorates/Divisions, providing effective recruitment advice and support in a timely and proactive manner to managers/doctors.

To provide an HR role at interviews where necessary in the allocated Directorates.

This includes ensuring Advisory Appointments Committees for consultants are organised appropriately in accordance with the statutory instrument and local rules.

To liaise with the managers/doctors to plan the recruitment timetable including advising on processes to be followed, working deadlines and best practice, adapting processes to enable managers to recruit successfully to each vacancy.

To assist the with the development of the Medical HR team, reviewing recruitment systems, recommending, initiating and implementing changes to promote the expansion of the E-Recruitment system and continuous service improvement.

Meet with key Directorate General/Service managers on a regular basis to discuss recruitment issues as a means of improving the recruitment service and to build and maintain working relations and delivery of service.

To build and maintain links with the Trusts Occupational Health Department, Payroll Department and Education Centre, attending regular meetings to discuss ways of maintaining and improving the service adapting to change when required.


To respond to service user complaints both verbal and written in a timely basis ensuring a high standard of customer service is maintained and resolutions communicated to all the parties.
