JOB ROLE

Responsibilities include the following:

  • Oversight and management of project management and agile delivery process execution performed by scrum master, scrum leads, and release train engineers aligned to a domain portfolio of platform release trains and projects.
  • Ensure consistency and managed maturity of SaFE, Scrum and Lean principles within platform delivery team performance and work product quality
  • Maintain project delivery, SaFE and Lean "ways of working" expertise that enables riskbased process tailoring adjustments consistent with Commercial IT operational objectives based on speed, cost and value Maintains
  • Effective relationship, expectation and communications management SSD partners aligned with a COE domain portfolio

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Team Management

  • The Platform Delivery Lead will perform Line and People Management responsibilities for a team comprised of Release Train Engineers, Scrum Master, Scrum Leads and Platform Analysts operating across hub and GITC locations
  • Partners with SSD Platform Engineering Leads, Snr BRMs to plan prioritized business demand establishing roadmaps for delivery
  • Manages platform teamlevel scrum, RTE capacity allocation, utilization, and xfunctional profiles sufficient to deliver business requirements
  • Takes ownership of RT budgets, responsible for ensuring overall domainlevel financial targets are achieved
  • Overall ownership of achieving platform delivery resources recharge financial targets aligned with assigned portfolio of platforms and products
  • Coordination and execution of internal recharging, recovery, and supplier PO/Invoice payments across multiple Release Trains within a single domain area
  • Ensure platform team assigned RTE and Scrum capacity coordinate, initiate and plan activities, and ensuring successful transition through CPx stage gates
  • Ensure compliance (security, privacy, GxP, etc.) control approaches and factors are included within platform teams as they deliver platform and product portfolio
  • Ensuring ESD&P is carried out across all delivery

Platform Team Delivery Improvements

  • Will maintain technical familiarity, business insight and context aligned with assigned portfolio of platforms/products/infrastructure
  • Provides input into business cases, Request for Proposals, supplier selection, and evaluation of proposals
  • Partners with Platform Success Lead(s), Platform Engineering Lead(s) to prioritize continuous improvement strategies and roadmap feeding into platform and product level backlogs
  • Demonstrates qualitative and quantitative data, including SDLC KPIs and applicable metrics to drive continuous improvement backlog updates and maintain continuity of portfolio delivery commitments
  • Identify issues with current processes and provide input on proposed changes to enhance effectiveness of IT
  • Perform analyses to expose and complement case for investment, innovation or corrective actions that represent measurable improvements

Practice Maturity Management

  • Drives continuous improvement and facilitates lean improvement scaling across wider portfolio
  • Operate as advocates of Lean / Agile execution practices, and provide expertise of the AstraZeneca Delivery Framework (ADF)
  • Maintain as point of entry with the Delivery Excellence team to onboard agile, lean and delivery processes across SSD domain platform teams

Vendor Management

  • Maintain vendor engagement ownership in man
