Community Engagement Lead


We have immediate need for a Community Engagement Lead, working within the Ara Gambling Service, helping people with Gambling Related Harms.

This position is full-time (35 hours per week)


Based - Ara Bangor Office, Covering North wales

Salary - £25,809 - £27,529


We are looking for individuals who have a passion for service development, engaging with other organisations over joint outcomes, and reducing gambling harm.


The role is to work as part of a team promoting a greater understanding of gambling harms, and creating partnerships within communities to tackle them.

This role will work in a hybrid way, utilising partnerships to work within the community as well as at Ara's new offices across Wales.

The successful applicant will also upskill professionals to be able to provide better advice, support and referral opportunities to Ara treatment services.

Some of the key tasks for this role include to:

Identify and develop community-based partnerships to ensure a joined up approach to tackling gambling related harms that catches vulnerable clients earlier.

Improve Ara's outreach into regional communities by working within local services to raise awareness of gambling harms, educating communities, and facilitating improved access for people to early engagement

Welsh speaking is ESSENTIAL
