Managerial Responsible to:
Head of Maintenance - UHB Facilities Limited


Working Relationships:

To work alongside Facilities Engineers, Supervisor and Managers, Unit Managers, clients, colleagues and visitors on a daily basis to ensure continuity of service.

Regularly perform maintenance jobs and repairs


Location:
Various sites around Birmingham


Role Summary
Carry out and respond to a wide range of duties as requested from users of UHB Facilities Ltd.

The role will also ensure UHB Facilities Ltd complies with all quality aspects required as set out in the service level agreements with both providers and clients.


Key Tasks

General Maintenance

  • Planned maintenance tasks as per site statutory compliance log books.
  • Keep accurate and up to date records of statuary compliance documentation, including all maintenance records and waste transfer notes.
  • General maintenance repairs (fabric, carpentry, plumbing etc. )
  • Assist other UHBF engineers on projects.
  • Be included in the callout rota.

Facilities Support

  • Monitoring of the water treatment system when on call.
  • To identify trends and issues that could have a detrimental effect on the service and escalate as necessary.
  • Complete required documentation on a daily basis.

Movement Handling

  • To deliver goods or services when required.
  • To undertake small office moves and department moves as requested.
  • To remove waste and supplies as requested.

Security

  • Report any breaches of security to management.
  • To take an active role during emergencies including fire and all other major emergencies.
  • To assist emergency services as requested

General

  • All staff to wear uniform and PPE provided in accordance with company uniform policy.
  • All staff to report an accident or incident in compliance with the company policy and procedures.
  • Ensure confidentiality is maintained at all times.
  • To attend mandatory training at times agreed by your Manager to comply with company policy.
  • Participate when required in incident investigations.
  • To undertake any additional training necessary for the role.
  • All breaks and annual leave to be taken as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor and in line with the company policy.

The post holder will undertake other duties as may be required to achieve UHB Facilities objectives.

PERSONAL SPECIFICATION
Qualifications and Training

  • Basic Education to Senior School Level
  • NVQ2 level or equivalent in specific trade / time served trade experience
  • CSCS card preferred but not essential
  • Willingness to undergo training in all activity
  • Full driving licence

  • Enthusiastic
  • Flexible to the needs of the service
  • Use initiative
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Be computer literate
Knowledge

  • Knowledge of the NHS or other Health Care Environment is desirable but not essential
Experience

  • Previous maintenance job roles
  • Working in a professional environment

Job Types:

Salary:
From £32,000.00 per year
