Role Summary To assist the specialist dietitians and consultants in providing a quality dietetic service to patients within the Complex Obesity and Diabetes Services.
To deliver specific elements of dietetic management within a clear defined scope of practice and with clinical supervision provided by the specialist dietitians.
To directly support young people, families and other agencies such as schools/care settings to facilitate dietary change.To liaise with providers of specialist prescription services to ensure that management of prescribable products is accurate, meets the needs of the individual patient and is cost effective to the NHS To undertake administrative and clerical duties needed to maintain good organisation of the service and support the dietetic team.
Provide support, training and guidance for newly recruited Dietetic Assistants within the Dietetic department and supervise dietetic students and volunteers.
