What you'll be doing:
Your main responsibilities as an Airframe Design Engineer will involve:
- Generating and creating initial preliminary 'Structural Layouts' of Air Vehicle
- Producing and issuing Airframe engineering design data to meet project requirements in line with design standards, whilst maintaining quality, cost and schedule adherence
- Undertaking formal independent quality engineering checks of others design data, to ensure compliance with project standards
- Liaising with other design engineers on completion of tasks
- Evaluating and resolving design problems and supporting the generation of resulting modifications and changes
Your skills and experiences:
Essential
***- Experience of Design within the aerospace industry and/or within similar industry
- Experience using 3D CAD
Desirable:
- Background in Aeronautical Engineering and an understanding of the main phases of an airframe design product lifecycle
- Experience using CATIA V5 or equivalent toolset
- Experience working in a multidisciplinary integrated product development environment
