Sandwell & West Birmingham are seeking to recruit an experienced Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist into a newly created leadership role within our expanding Critical Care & Surgery Therapy service.
This could either provide a new opportunity for an existing Service Lead or a development opportunity for an individual who wants to broaden their experience and scope within these acute specialties.
Alongside relevant clinical experience, applicants will demonstrate excellent communication and critical thinking skills, and a proven track record of leading for quality improvement.
The successful applicant will also be passionate about the value of our AHP workforce and in continuing to develop our workforce of highly engaged and skilled therapists.
This is an exciting time for the Trust, and our services, as we look towards the opening of our new single-site acute hospital - Midland Metropolitan University Hospital - in 2024.
As an integrated Acute and Community Trust, this role will be acute service facing, but with a focus on development of services and pathways to provide excellence in clinical care across the patient journey.
To provide Service Leadership & clinical expertise within Critical Care & Surgery.This includes leadership of:
Critical Care Physiotherapy & Occupational Therapy Services
Surgery Physiotherapy & Occupational Therapy Services (including gynae-oncology and general surgery)
Operational support to physiotherapy services within Adult Outpatient Respiratory Medicine
On-call services for out of hours respiratory physiotherapy (Trust wide)
