*Hybrid Working*Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting on behalf of a Local Authority in Berkshire for a Payroll Officer.
Main Responsibilities:
- Assist in the timely and accurate payment of wages, salaries and expenses fees to Authority Employees
- Ensure all tasks are completed in a confidential manner, within the required timescales in line with PAYE legislation and HMRC rules.
- Input new starters/contractors, process leaver forms, deal with all types of payments and will resolve pension queries.
- Keep accurate records relating to Tax, National Insurance, SSP, SMP and Pensions Contributions for individual employees.
- CIPP Qualification or Equivalent preferred
- Experience within a Local Authority payroll background
- Great communication skills with ability to work well on own initiative as well as part of a team
- Experience in payments, starters/leavers and pensions
- Experience of Agresso Payroll is highly desirable
