Payroll Officer

£20-22 per hour umbrella

*Hybrid Working*Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting on behalf of a Local Authority in Berkshire for a Payroll Officer.

Main Responsibilities:

Assist in the timely and accurate payment of wages, salaries and expenses fees to Authority Employees
Ensure all tasks are completed in a confidential manner, within the required timescales in line with PAYE legislation and HMRC rules.
Input new starters/contractors, process leaver forms, deal with all types of payments and will resolve pension queries.
Keep accurate records relating to Tax, National Insurance, SSP, SMP and Pensions Contributions for individual employees.

Full job specification available

CIPP Qualification or Equivalent preferred
Experience within a Local Authority payroll background
Great communication skills with ability to work well on own initiative as well as part of a team
Experience in payments, starters/leavers and pensions
Experience of Agresso Payroll is highly desirable
