JOB DESCRIPTION - SHOWROOM/ADMINISTRATION ASSISTANT

JOB SUMMARY
At Gidlow Stone Memorial Masons, we provide all aspects of Memorial work from supply to installation, inscriptions and renovations. We pride ourselves in our friendly, sympathetic and trustworthy service.

We currently have a vacancy for a Showroom/Administration Assistant at our office at Gidlow Cemetery.

The applicant must be a self-starter, who can work independently and run the office in an efficient and professional manner.

Good communication skills are a must as you will be dealing with potential and existing clients/customers in a time when sensitivity is key.

Excellent IT Skills required, particularly with Microsoft Office.

**Responsibilities/Duties include:

  • Must be comfortable in a Customer Facing Role, where you will provide quotations, take orders, take payments, manage financial accounts and be able to deal with enquiries with professionalism, paying attention to detail.
  • Help maintain the accuracy and content of information entered onto our internal systems.
  • Build up a knowledge of the different types of stones and material and memorial designs. This will enable us to help our clients understand the types of memorials available to them and to ensure they receive a bespoke, personal and professional service.
  • Design layouts of gravestone inscription wording and order materials, where necessary (full training will be provided).
  • Liaise directly with the stonemasons to ensure the accuracy of the memorial being created.
  • Meet targets as agreed with the Proprietor.

WORKING HOURS AND ENVIRONMENT

Job Types:
Part-time, Permanent

Approx. 28 hours per week - Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday

9.00am to 4.45pm (summer months)

9.00am to 4.00pm (winter months)

Opening/Closing times could be varied slightly by mutual agreement

Office based only

Additional cover/flexibility may be required for holidays or sickness when necessary.


SALARY
£11.50p/h plus commission OTE £12.50p/h
