JOB TITLE:
Part-Time Bookkeeper


LOCATION:
Southampton, UK


SALARY:
£25/hour


HOURS: 8-10 hours per week. Flexibility on specific days/times is possible.


COMPANY OVERVIEW

Trade House Media are the award-winning ad management platform, based in Southampton on the south coast of the UK and serving a global list of digital publishers, from publicly listed blue chip corporations to independent bloggers (and everything in between).

THE ROLE

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Daytoday bookkeeping:
• Maintain accurate records within our accounting software (Xero)

This includes:

• Processing sales invoices and purchase orders
• Bank reconciliations
• Expense tracking and reporting
• Credit control and debt collection management
• Compliance:
• Prepare and submit quarterly VAT returns on time
• Process payroll and ensure compliance with HMRC regulations
• Financial Reporting
• Prepare monthly management accounts, including profit & loss, balance sheet, and other required reports
• Cash flow forecasting and monitoring
• Process Improvement
• Collaborate with Directors to identify areas for efficiency and streamline bookkeeping procedures

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

• Proven bookkeeping experience (a minimum of 4 years)
• Expertise in Xero accounting software
• Experience with multicurrency transactions
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Excellent organisational and timemanagement skills
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks
• High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Problemsolving and analytical approach

DESIRABLE:

• A relevant accounting qualification
• Experience in a similarsized business (~10 employees)
