Teaching and Learning Administrator?
Teaching and Learning Admin - 3 month contract - London - £21.01 per hour PAYE

Main purpose of the job:


The post holder is part of our client's Cancer Institute Education Team which coordinates and manages the development and delivery of the curriculum, assessment, and quality assurance of the undergraduate (UG), postgraduate taught (PGT), postgraduate research (PGR) and MBBS programmes.

The Team aims to provide high quality and innovative services to staff and students within the Cancer Institute. The post-holder is responsible for coordinating and managing the MBBS curriculum administered and delivered by the Institute.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Works to Cancer Institute Service Standards and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Primary contact and administrative support for the part of the MBBS programme managed by the Cancer Institute
  • Administrative responsibility, including timetabling, for clinical placements and Cancer patient recruitment relating the Year 4 Cancer Patient Pathway and Year 5 Cancer Medicine and Palliative Care.
  • Covers the Cancer Institute MBBS mailbox.
  • Records and reports student attendance and engagement.
  • Manages and maintains Moodle pages.
  • Manages the formative assessment.
  • Provides administrative support for curriculum coordination.
  • Works collaboratively with members of the Cancer Institute Education team, and provides emergency crosscover as appropriate, to ensure that curriculum and assessment activities and services are delivered to a high standard.
  • Works collaboratively with the MBBS Student Support Team to ensure appropriate exchange of information to support student academic progress and a highquality student experience.
  • Follow and actively promote the Ways of Working.
  • Carry out duties in a resource efficient way and actively support Sustainability Strategy, policies and objectives within the remit of their role
  • Carry out any other duties within the scope, spirit and purpose of the job as requested by the line manager.
  • Attend and participate in Programme, Institute and University committees related to education administration and teaching & learning, acting as secretary when required.
