JOB DESCRIPTION
ADMINISTRATOR
ACCOUNTABILITY:
The Administrator will be accountable on a day to day basis to the Office Manager.
PURPOSE OF POST:
To provide administrative back up to the office manager and social work team of the company, and to assist in supporting the company's activities in a variety of ways conducive to the safe care of children and young people looked after by the company's foster carers.
MAIN DUTIES:
To deal with incoming and outgoing mail, to answer the telephone on a rota basis, take clear and accurate messages, ensure the phones are switched to and from duty social workers as appropriate.
To carry out police checks, local authority checks, medicals and references for potential foster carers and ensure these are updated as required.
To send foster carer handbook when new carers have been approved.
To record and produce minutes for the team meeting on a monthly basis.
To ensure that foster carers and children and young people placed with ALL4U Fostering have a sympathetic and concerned 'first port of call' when telephoning for assistance or support.
GENERAL:
To implement and maintain all the policies and administrative procedures required by the company.
To promote the company's aims and objectives through day to day activities.
To provide the Registered Manager with any information coming to the notice of the administration assistant, which could have an impact on the safety or wellbeing of any child placed with the company.
To assist and support the Directors, registered manager, office manager, quality assurance manager and social work team as they may require.
Requirements of post:
Essential:
Computer literacy, and willingness to learn system used by the organisation.
Willingness to agree to an enhanced DBS check, social media check and Local Authority Check
Access to an independent means of transport (due to location of office).
Desirable:
A full driving licence
N.B. This is not an exhaustive Job Description. The nature of the work is varied, and therefore the successful applicant may be called upon to be involved in tasks other than those specified, in accordance with the needs of the Company, but in line with the responsibility level of the post.
