Cleaner / Waste Operative
Salary £23,000 to £30,000
Perm
Double days (1 week early / 1 week lates)
£3,000 Shift Allowance

Location Hayes
My client, based in Hayes are currently looking for an experienced cleaner to join their team. This is a full time perm position offering a great salary
Tasks

Your responsibilities and duties may include the following:

  • Properly package and label special/hazardous waste and transport it to the designated waste storage location.
  • Maintain the shop floor, Pit, Effluent treatment Plant and the surrounding area clean and tidy
  • Top up process tanks as instructed by the company chemist(s).
  • Fill out paperwork attesting that the tasks have been completed on their due date.
  • Remove waste bags from the shop floor area and transport it to the designated waste storage location.
  • Maintain Practical Experience Record (PER) book.
  • Ability to communicate fluently in written and spoken English
  • Good knowledge, awareness and understanding of use of PPE in industrial setting
  • Prior experience in handling hazardous waste is desirable
  • COMAH awareness is considered beneficial
  • Position and process involves lifting heavy containers
