CNC SETTER / OPERATOR

DAYS ROLE - 39 HOURS A WEEK

£ £17.00 PER HOUR

Alecto Recruitment are now in partnership with a Precision Engineering company supplying a wide range of precision manufacturing services to a number of sectors within the industry.

Specialising in the Marine, Defence and Aerospce sectors, manufacturing medium to heavy engineering components to a diverse range of products.

Utilising 3D CAD models using CAM, samples and design projects.

With CNC and manual machining, they offer other services including reverse engineering, fabrication and welding, grinding, also offering a refurbish and repair service.

The company has proudly built their reputation for high quality workmanship and customercommitment.

Due to expansion within the machinig shop floor and subsequent purchase of a new machine in the turning centre, my client is looking to recruit a highly skilled and motivated CNC Machinist with high-level skills and ability to produce top quality precisioncomponents.

The position offers a very competitive salary including private healthcare and pension scheme.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES and SKILLS NEEDED:

3 years experience as a CNC Machinist with TURNING background.
A recognised Apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering
To manufacture components to technical drawings and specifications, working to the highest of standards and precision within the company quality
Collaborate with continual improvement strategies
Conversant with imperial / metric measurements and equipment
Conversant with modern machining practices, methods and tooling
Understand technical drawings and geometric tolerances
Methodical approach with excellent time and utilisation skills
Doosan Puma machining experience
CAM Software knowledge is beneficial
FANUC controls beneficial, not essential as full training suite at the machine
Experience of working with castings, forgings, alloy and stainless steels

ROLE OFFERINGS

39 hours a week DAYS ROLE £ £17.00 per hour
Monday to Thursday 08:00am 16:30pm
Friday 08:00 15:30pm
Overtime paid at premium rates
22 days annual holiday, plus statutory holidays
Pension scheme
One site gym facilities and parking.
