Essential - Experience of working with children and the ability to drive and have use of a car.
I am a 10-year-old boy, looking for a warm, patient and reliable Support Worker/Child Therapy Assistant. I sustained an injury as a baby and as a result have complex needs, including behavioural, cognitive and physical.
I attend school (with support) and am a sociable, friendly young man with a great sense of humour.
I need some assistance with personal care but in the main require additional support out of school so that I can enjoy social and leisure activities, engagein therapy, and further develop my life skills.
I love being active and busy, enjoy cycling, swimming and skiing as well as craft activities and computer games.
During school holidays your hours are likely to be increased to provide extra support and to accompany me on day trips to places further afield.
This role would be an excellent opportunity for a therapy student or psychology graduate who will enjoy being part of a multidisciplinary team, supporting with the client's therapy programme and assisting with his behaviour and care management plans.
