This role will be based at our Mansfield Woodhouse charity store. 16 hours per week. 4 days (Monday to Sunday) depending on rotas.


Under the direction and supervision of the Store Managers, you will support, train and co-ordinate the work of volunteers in the shop as required by the Store Managers, encouraging an active interest in the store and the work of the LNAA.


The post holder will also undertake and perform other related duties as required, particularly in the absence of the Store Managers.


This role is critical to the efficient running of our Stores, so you will need to be results driven, well organised, hands on and have the passion and skills to motivate and empower a team of staff and volunteers to maximise the efficient operation of our stores.


Main duties

  • Assist the managers in providing a high quality retail service in relation to agreed performance targets.
  • Oversee the store in the store manager's absence, undertaking all appropriate duties to ensure the continued operation of the store.
  • Deliver a high level of customer service at all times.
  • Support, train and coordinate the work of volunteers in the store as required by the store managers, encouraging an active interest in the store and the work of LNAA.
  • Undertake any administrative and financial procedures as directed by the store managers including accurately inputting required data into IT equipment within agreed timescales.
  • Process stock deliveries regularly. This includes carrying and moving stock.
  • All Health and Safety requirements fulfilled in accordance with LNAA policies and procedures.
  • Willingness to perform any reasonable duties identified.
