Stadler Rail Service UK Limited (SRS UK) is a subsidiary of Stadler Rail, Switzerland. Stadler is establishing a reputation as a competitive provider of train maintenance services and has seen a number of successes since emerging in the UK in 2016.

In the next few years over 200 new Stadler trains will be joining the UK rail network. Our current depot locations are Cardiff, Glasgow, Liverpool, Newcastle and Norwich offering a wide scope of opportunity for someone looking to career within an expanding international business.


We are looking to recruit a Business Support Coordinator on a 24-month fixed-term basis to join the SRSUK Business Support function at Norwich Crown Point Depot, reporting to the Business Support Manager.

The Business Support Coordinator will be responsible for providing effective administrative support to depot based employees, working as part of a centralised administration function ensuring consistency across site processes.

The post holder will also be responsible for first-line coordination of facilities and payroll tasks, as well as supporting with the day-to-day running of the depot.


MAIN DUTIES

  • Calitime system administration, ensuring that hours are correct before being exported into the payroll system. Ensuring that any manual payroll interventions including shift entitlements, overtime and irregular hours payments are recorded accurately.
  • Providing a clerical support service to the Production team, scanning/filing and mail processing.
  • Recording and level 1 management of local facilities issues including planned preventative maintenance organisation.
  • Updating of site specific databases and rosters including relevant document control.
  • Act as first point of contact within the depot for visitors, vendors, staff, and other internal departments, promptly resolving, redirecting and/or escalating issues appropriately.
  • Input of all required information into the R2 database (from depot work sheets) exams, repairs, overhauls, serial number database.
  • Administrative work in SRMS (Infor EAM) as instructed. Such as asset management, check lists, work order processing/ creation
  • Managing the room booking system, settingup and organising refreshment requirements for meetings and client visits on site.
  • Performing other clerical and administrative duties for the Head of SRSUK Norwich, Head of Production, Head of Performance and Production Manager as requested.
  • The post holder is responsible to their manager for the health, safety and welfare of themselves, colleagues, contractors, customers or general public through any deficiencies of the required standard of the post holder.
  • The post holder must take measures to ensure that they fully understands any references in publications issued to or to which access or extracts are provided which relates to their particular tasks or responsibilities.
  • The post holder must fully report all accidents currently to their Manager and complete all necessary related documentation.
  • The post holder has a responsibility for fire, fire prevention and security by making themselves aware of any evacuation plan and reporting suspicious objects to their manager.
  • This is not an exhaustive list of tasks and the post holder may be asked to undertake any task for which they are able and competent.

YOUR PROFILE

Essential:_

  • Good general standard of education to GSCE A-C / 94 level.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • High level knowledge of Microsoft Office programmes.
  • Ability to prioritise workload and work independently when needed.
  • Excellent IT skills.

  • Recognised Business Administration qualification.
  • Experience working with time and attendance and asset management systems.

Quality, environmental and safety management:_

  • The laws and regulation are to be complied and implemented in all conscience (legal compliance)
  • Thus, all standards, especially the requirements for ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, EKAS 6508 and jointly applicable standards such as ISO 38342, DIN EN , DIN 6701 are to be complied and discharged from active cooperation
  • The holder of the position supports coworkers and corporate management to every extent, contributes to fulfilling named policies, and recognises dynamic support for continuous development as a daily duty.
