Description

The Bridges Programmes supports the social, educational, and economic integration and inclusion of refugees, asylum seekers, migrants, and anyone for whom English is a second language living in Glasgow.

Their programmes enable their clients to reach their full potential and contribute to Scotland's economy.

They provide a supportive and inclusive environment for learning new skills and building strong social networks for socialising with their peers.

The Bridges Programmes helps its clients to gain the confidence and qualifications they need to participate in all aspects of community life and become active and engaged citizens.

They also provide essential information and advice on housing, healthcare, education, and other issues that are relevant to their client's lives in Scotland.

We are now looking for a new Chief Executive who has the vision and ability to drive the organisation forward into its next chapter.

You will raise the profile of the charity and ensure the sustainability of the existing programmes while developing others.

You will also be capable of responding quickly to the constant global changes and government priorities for refugees and asylum seekers.

As CEO, this role will give you great satisfaction in seeing the journey of people who have come to this country with nothing and giving them a future in employment, education or training.

You should have demonstrable experience in building strong partnerships with the ability to drive income, successfully win grants, and identify and manage large funding opportunities.

You will be working with multiple funders with different monitoring requirements, so you should be experienced in monitoring and evaluation of large-scale contracts.

A background in public procurement is desirable but not essential.

As well as having experience and knowledge in governance, strategy, financial management and people management, you should be equally comfortable engaging at a high level with local and national government, the home office, colleagues and service users.

You will work alongside a supportive board to lead and motivate a fun multi-national team.

You will be a visible and present leader who creates their own energy to lead and work with self-managing and dynamic teams.

Maybe you're an experienced CEO or a senior manager looking to take the step up.

So long as you're passionate about refugee and migrant integration, a confident and credible leader, can drive income growth and have senior leadership and management experience, please get in touch to find out more about the role.
