This is a great opportunity to join our outstanding, professional, and successful client in Reading Town Centre.

As a Senior Paralegal you will be required to support fee earners on transactional matters.

This will involve working with existing team members and clients in respect of the acquisition and disposals of development land, plot sales, planning and constructionmatters as well as secured acquisition and development finance.

The main duties of this role are.


Duties

  • Drafting option agreements, deeds, and contracts
  • Undertaking due diligence and reporting
  • Assisting the team with a wide range of other activities associated with development transactions
  • Identifying concerns and risk and identifying practical and commercial solutions
  • Communicating with the team, clients and third parties in involved with transactions
  • Learning about the planning system and how this impacts development transactions
  • Participating in business development activities and getting to know our clients and others in the development community
  • Some experience of development transactions is preferred but we will also look favourably on good quality residential and/or commercial conveyancing and/or plot sales experience.
  • Be inquisitive and enthusiasm to learn.
  • Not be afraid to ask questions and give your opinion.
  • Have an organised working method and an ability to break down complex problems into bite size tasks.
  • Have strong drafting skills, verbal & written communication skills.
  • An ability and willingness to complete marketing and business development activities is essential.
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written and the ability to develop strong relationships with clients and others in the sector
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
