Description

Our client is a leading, world renowned Global Commodity trading company.

The role of the new operator is to ensure that the logístically complicated and intensive process of moving Gas products is executed flawlessly.

This means coordinating closely with traders, transporters, finance, treasury, and customers in ensuring the efficient custody and transportation of product to meet customers' needs.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES AS FOLLOWS:

Balance and schedule the gas portfolio.
Manage and set up new market areas.
Communicate with asset operators, European gas grid operators, other shippers, and customers.
Improve and implement systems to deliver operational excellence.
Manage Gas and LNG delivery schedules and operational programmes within Europe.
Contribute to the development of growth opportunities.
Developing and maintaining effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Assisting in drafting and reviewing relevant policies and procedures and effectively communicating and implementing these.
Manage oncall 24hour coverage (GMSL)
Train and manage new desk Operators.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Spot Gas trading experience preferred.
Experience and knowledge of European gas market regulation, network codes, infrastructure, and market drivers
Experience in key European gas systems such as Coderunner/Eurorunner/Prisma/Gemini
Experience and understanding of each Grid Operators nomination requirements and deadlines.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Strong attention to detail
Proactive approach to operations.
Entrepreneurial approach.
