We have a fantastic opportunity for a solutions focused individual with project management experience to join British Red Cross Crisis Response team as a Crisis Response Service Coordinator.


You will work with the national Crisis Response Team and local Emergency Response Teams to plan and prepare for crises in the UK.

During a response, you will provide hands on administrative and logístical support, helping to coordinate large scale emergencies, working alongside operational teams and other Directorates to ensure the organisation is best able to meet the needs of people in crisis.

You will also support the Crisis Response (CR) team across a range of portfolios, contributing toward the delivery of key projects and service development, as well as providing administrative and logístical support to the team.

The Independent Living (IL) & Crisis Response (CR) service (IL/CR) supports people in the space between hospital and home and responds to the needs of people in crisis following an emergency, maintaining an extensive network of external relationships across health, social care, and emergency services.

This role could be for you if you have the following skills and experience:
  • Demonstrable general administrative and project coordination experience, preferably in an emergency planning environment
  • Able to plan, schedule and meet deadlines
  • Able to compose clear and concise reports
  • Experience of working in a deadlinedriven environment
  • Experience of using information technology to circulate information
  • Able to travel within the UK to attend meetings and conferences when needed
