Job Introduction
Do you speak Bengali, Malayalam, Pashto or Ukrainian. Would you like to help pupils who have English as an additional language to flourish in schools?


Casual Bilingual Support Officers work in schools using their home language to help pupils to access the curriculum and wider opportunities offered by school life.

They also support liaison between schools and families and deliver interpreting and translation services to wider East Sussex services.

  • Are fluent in one of the languages listed above
  • Have a level 2 qualification in English
  • Want to support pupils to achieve their full potential
  • Are self motivated
  • Can travel across the County
Interviews will take place in County Hall Lewes on Thursday 20th July 2023.

Additional Information

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.
