**Aim and purpose of the role: We are looking for a talented Communications Executive / Marketing Coordinator to join the Brand & Communications team and play a crucial role in understanding and responding to marketing needs while achieving commercial objectives.

You will be the creative force behind engaging content.

You will report to the Head of Brand & Communications and be an integral part of our marketing strategy, delivering content that resonates with the firm's existing and prospective clients.


Key responsibilities:


  • Copywriting and editing in line with the Walker Crips tone of voice (news releases, website content, brochures, pitches and presentations).
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders and the Brand & Communications team to develop and execute content across the business.
  • Craft captivating copy for various outputs, such as articles, newsletters, and thought leadership pieces.
  • Ensure content is adapted and amplified across all channels.
  • Marketing with campaign and concept development.
  • Liaising with partnered external Public Relations firm to respond to press opportunities and proactively maintain the brand's public image.
  • Maintaining, curating and growing the company's social media channels.
  • Facilitating and providing input to internal brand development, promotion and training.
  • Updating company documentation including policies and forms.

Person Specification:


  • A relevant communications/marketing degree;
  • Or A-Level qualified with over 2 years relevant experience in financial services;
  • You have worked with various disciplines within a marketing team, and you are wellversed in the UK financial services sector, particularly investment management and financial planning. You thrive both independently and collaboratively, effectively handling diverse briefs and influencing senior stakeholders.

Experience:

Experience within a regulated industry through permanent employment, internships or freelancing is essential. Experience in PR or handling media enquiries will be highly regarded. Experience working on proactive marketing campaigns, running social media accounts and SEO would be valuable.
