Your New Role


WBD is a global content business, at WBD Sports our goal is to create engaging and entertaining sports content across multiple platforms that connects with sports fans across our markets.

As a member of the WBD Sports Europe team, you will be working across our entire sports portfolio, focusing on the premium sports content in the UK market.


Working within the Content & Editorial team, the Assistant Producer will assist the Producer in all stages of a programme or series.

Contributing and developing ideas for programmes across WBD Sports channels and platforms.


Your Role Accountabilities

  • Participating in developing concepts and content for assigned programmes to be used across WBD Sports channels & platforms
  • Producing, editing and writing scripts, teases, features, and other elements for live and recorded shows.
  • Directing offsite multi camera shoots, sometimes with high profile contributors
  • Providing story ideas to generate programme elements, from concept to execution.
  • Supervising edit sessions and audio record sessions
  • Liaising with relevant members of production team to ensure delivery of content to deadlines
  • Liaising with suppliers and 3rd parties, to ensure project tasks are delivered
  • Contributing to discussions around new ideas and initiatives and changes to workflows to increase efficiencies.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Good knowledge of broadcast environment & live production techniques, including studio based shows, remote productions and outside broadcasts
  • Ability to produce / direct ENG camera shoots
  • Working knowledge of nonlinear editing techniques with a view to being able to produce fast turnaround edits across assigned programmes
  • Ability to ensure delivery of content to tight deadlines
  • Ability to contribute content ideas & suggestions
  • Ability to selfshoot is desirable, but not a necessity
  • Organisational and planning skills, precise attention to detail and methodical approach to work
