Description

This Multi Academy Trust is looking to appoint an inspirational and highly effective Business Partner who is committed to supporting the Trust to educational excellence.

Are you ready for the challenge of joining a highly successful and growing Church of England Multi-Academy Trust, to lead the way on their People Strategy and their vision, and to make the trust an even better place to work and learn?

they are a trust of currently 19 schools in the Midlands area, with over 850 staff and 4,500 pupils, with strong Christian values and a passion for bringing out the very best in staff and students.

You will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer, be a crucial member of the Senior Leadership Team and well supported by the Board of Trustees, including a People and Pay Committee.

The HR team is currently made up of 4 team members, and you will be responsible for their continued personal growth and ensuring they deliver a high-quality HR service to schools.

You will have strategic vision, with the ability to look beyond what is possible now, the confidence and flair to influence and negotiate where needed with all stakeholders inside and outside of the Trust, together with a willingness to "roll up your sleeves" when required to manage highly complex operational issues as they arise.

You will act as a critical friend and advisor to our Headteachers and senior leaders including the CEO, so your ability to hold confidential information is key.

This may be your first Head of People role in your professional career, and an exciting but challenging time to join an academy trust, so some experience of working in the sector may be an advantage but not essential.

What is essential is that you can evidence a successful track record of working in a senior HR role in a complex, multi-site organisation.

They can offer you a happy and supportive working environment, where everybody works hard to support each other regardless of their seniority and role and regards the continuous professional development of everyone as a given.

If successful you will be offered an executive coach/mentor to help you in your induction period and beyond.

We are open to requests for flexible/hybrid working arrangements and also offer LGPS defined benefit pension scheme, Employee Assistance Programme, Cycle to work and other salary sacrifice schemes, 25 days annual leave, rising after 4 years' service, plus bank holidays.
