The role as a Senior Buyer:

  • Management of the MRP system and data analysis to enable the procurement of parts in line with the sales and forecast requirements and company's stocking strategy and KPI targets.
  • Managing a team of buying administrators / planners across two local plants.
  • Manage overall stock.
  • Support in production planning meetings, reporting, and resolving supply chain issues.
  • Work closely with and holding regular supplier reviews to ensure effective performance against KPI's.
  • Analysing data to improve overall delivery.
  • Managing end to end logistics agents / freight forwarding companies and associated costs

Skills and Attributes required as a Senior Buyer:

  • Excellent Excel skills.
  • MRP / ERP experience (SAGE)
  • Proven experience in data analysis / interrogation & reporting (Ideally MS Office/ODBC/ SQL)
  • Strong leadership / people skills.
  • You will be a solution focused individual.
  • Highly organised and a great communicator.
