A leading Principal Contractor based in West Yorkshire are looking for a Junior / Assistant Planner to work within their preconstruction division due to company expansion and restructure.

At current, the business is operating across the residential, commercial & retail sectors with projects valued up to £30m+.

Experience, Knowledge & Qualifications

For this role you must possess the following;

Previous experience in using ASTA Powerprojects (Essential)
Knowledge in preconstruction processes

The Role

As a Junior / Assistant Planner, you will be assisting the Planning Manager in programming construction projects across the commercial and industrial sectors within the North West & Yorkshire.

Duties

Reporting to the Planning Manager
Project programming ensuring that projects can be successfully completed by the site management team
Using programming software such Asta Power Project to write and develop construction programmes
Ensure all company paperwork is completed accurately and in a timely manner
Liaising with surveyors, architects, and clients
Keeping up to date with planning regulations, policies and legislations
Ensuring the necessary resources are available to meet planning targets and deadlines
Updating planning IT systems and portals with the necessary information and project status
Creative thinking with problem solving and analytical skills to provide solutions to planning issues
