I have an exciting opportunity for a
Semi Skilled Fitter to join a forward thinking, future ready rolling stock business who are passionate about delivering the best possible service and highest quality parts to their customers.
They have recently taken on a renewed focus within the rail industry and have now opened their fantastic, state of the art new centre of excellence facility where they provide a wide range of services to meet the requirements of UK rail which include Manufacturing and Supply, Refurb, Overhaul & Repair, Site Support, Project Management and Reverse Engineering.
Due to growth in workload, they are looking for Mechanical Fitters with a heavy engineering background, preferably within rail or a similar heavy manufacturing environment.
Key responsibilities for this Semi Skilled Fitter role:
- Maintaining and repairing rolling stock/plant equipment.
- Fitting parts motors and machine components.
- Working with hand tools, calibration tools etc.
- Follow appropriate methods and techniques to safely carry out tasks.
- Maintain good housekeeping in work area.
Experience required for this Semi Skilled Fitter role:
- Mechanically minded.
- Background of rolling stock, mechanical fitting or heavy engineering preferred.
- High attention to detail.
- Engineering NVQ/Apprenticeship not essential but preferred.
Package offered for this Semi Skilled Fitter role:
- Hourly Rate circa £12.50 per hour
- Monday to Thursday 6am 4pm.
- Bespoke training and on the job training.
- Overtime rates.
