JOB TITLE Finance Business Partner - Capital Projects DIVISION & BRAND MERLIN MAGIC MAKING GRADE C DEPARTMENT & LOCATION MMM Developments Finance based in Merlin Head Office, Poole or Merlin Finance Hub in Basingstoke.

Required to visit team at Poole once a fortnight. REPORTS N/A

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Part or fully qualified accountant (ACCA/ACA/CIMA)
  • Excellent communicator with proven experience in influencing and challenging senior stakeholders to achieve successful collaborative outcomes.
  • Demonstrable skills of managing multiple workstreams, fantastic prioritisation enabling tight deadlines to be met in a fastpaced high growth environment.
  • An innovative quick thinker with strong analytical skills. Able to see the big picture but equally to be thorough and give sufficient attention to detail.
  • Ideally someone who is a natural catalyst for change and continuous improvement.
  • Advanced Excel skills and aptitude for learning systems quickly
  • Construction or projects experience an advantage
  • Open to occasional domestic or international travel to attractions
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES (SUMMARY) 1. Business partnering with Project Delivery end to end throughout the full lifecycle of the project. Deliver robust budgets, track and report spend / contingency movements as well as manage risks and opportunities. 2.

Supporting Project Delivery in optimising project costs both during the planning and costing phase and during build, ensuring cost assumptions and the costing and tendering process is adequately challenged.

3. Design and delivery of financial and non-financial analysis and insight to support with key budget, timetable and scope decisions. 4. Ensure compliance with MMM and Group policies, processes and controls. Own the financial due diligence on suppliers. 5. Coordinate input from broader project stakeholder group on assumptions that impact project capital costs. 6. Ensure a comprehensive and timely project close and handover to our internal clients.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES (DETAIL) 1. Business partnering with Project Delivery end to end throughout the full lifecycle of the project. Deliver robust budgets, track and report spend / contingency movements as well as manage risks and opportunities.

o Regular project reviews with Project Managers, identifying and quantifying cost, scope and timetable risks o Capturing and reporting key project health metrics to ensure the project status and risk is transparently and comprehensively reported, in line with MMM and Group reporting timelines o Present key project risks and opportunities and budget status to HoF and FD on a regular basis.

o Ensure projects that depart from the typical project management processes (for whatever reason) are suitably reviewed and reported to allow MMM and Group to understand the project risk profile o Tracking and reviewing project seed costs to ensure MMM/Merlin can appropriate manage abortive cost risk o Support project managers in raising and approving commitments in NetSuite o Review Purchase Order component breakdown and ensure correct fixed asset categorisation at the outset o Assist Project Management use incl Item Receipting of work done in NetSuite F21 o Work with Project managers to accurately forecast monthly project costs o Complete Group Capital reporting templates on a monthly basis
