We are recruiting for an experienced
Community Programme Co-ordinator to manage the community programme at Strood Salvation Army for this exciting opportunity to re-commence Salvation Army community programmes.


This position requires the post holder to be a practising Christian.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Networking with Church members, other local Salvation Army expressions, Churches and agencies and community groups.
  • Develop and lead worship in the community programme where appropriate and take part in worship relevant to the community expression of The Salvation Army.
  • Provide pastoral care and support to those using our programmes.
  • Recruit and develop a team of volunteers.
  • To design, develop, deliver community programmes to meet the needs of the local community.
  • To work within the and be an enthusiastic advocate of our Christian ethos and values.
  • Work within Salvation Army safeguarding policies.

You will:


  • Be a practising Christian
  • Have experience of leading faithbased activities
  • Have confidence and experience of holding pastoral and workbased conversations
  • Have experience of designing, developing community activities and programmes
  • Have experience of supervising staff and volunteers
