Jacobs is committed to offering a career within one company and recognises the exceptional talent we have in our people.

As Jacobs evolves, we want to inspire and empower you to develop your career so you too can evolve, grow and succeed - today and into tomorrow.

Work-life balance and flexibility is a key focus area for Jacobs.

We are happy to discuss hybrid, part-time and flexible working hours, patterns, and locations to suit you and our business.

This role can be based at any Island of Ireland Jacobs office.

About the Opportunity

Within our People & Places Solutions, Buildings and Infrastructure (P&PS B&I) Europe team, we have significant growth plans in Ireland.

We therefore have an immediate requirement in our Growth & Sales team for an experienced, and relationship-based, business development professional to lead growth in Ireland as part of our Europe growth plan.

This role will expose you to the heart of the Jacobs business, sitting at the forefront of delivering our Boldly Moving Forward Strategy and the P&PS B&I Europe Roadmap.

Ireland is a growth market for our business and as such is incredibly important in the future pipeline of work for Europe.

This role is responsible for the development and growth of long-term and enduring client relationships in Ireland; covering key existing clients and future target clients across our Cities and Places and Transportation sectors.

The role covers key Irish government agencies in the built environment and city development market, as well as developing and growing relationships with city and local authorities across the island of Ireland; ensuring growth through regular dialogue, enticing and compelling value proposition development, and ensuring that they are fully aware of all of Jacobs' capabilities and differentiators.

The purpose of the CAL role is to build and maintain trusted long-term relationships to deliver sustainable gross margin growth to Jacobs, by operating at senior and executive levels with client organisations.

The headline accountabilities of the role are to implement separate, but synergistic Growth Plans for each target Irish Client.

These Growth Plans must enhance our client relationships, deliver annual GM booking targets against planned investments, and grow the GM backlog and forward strength of the GM pipeline as measured through our Client Success Platform (CSP) hosted on SalesForce.

Here's What You'll Need:

Our team are agile, driven, highly organised, and resilient individuals with a passion to win.

We operate in pressured, client-centric, and therefore fast-paced environments, but have created a close-knit community where we constantly support each other, and share knowledge, best practices and lessons learnt.

An enthusiasm for working closely with clients, developing solutions to challenges and problems and working in disciplined teams with a motivation to overcome them is essential for success.

The role will require diligence, and a curious, inquisitive nature in listening to and working with our clients
- primarily at senior and executive levels
- to develop innovative solutions to respond to our clients' and society's greatest challenges.

The selection process is focussed upon attributes and relevant practical experience, as opposed to prescribed levels of academic or professional qualification.

  • Strong work ethic and proactivity, selfmotivation, initiative, and leadership
  • A client and strategic growth mindset, using business development acumen and focus on the client and their customers
  • An active listener, with the interpersonal skills to engage with stakeholders at all levels of the client and within our business to create and sustain senior relationships
  • Tenacity, and being prepared to step outside of your comfort zone
  • Ability to positively deal with unexpected change
  • Ability to manage and discuss doubt and complexity during challenging times
  • Work regime flexibility and accepting there are periods of intense working
  • A strong desire for success.
  • Patience, positivity, and resilience
  • Enjoys team camaraderie, whilst is also being able to work independently.

  • Doing things right to maintain integrity and authenticity
  • Aiming higher with a competitive drive to win and entrepreneurial ambition
  • Challenging the accepted through curiosity and constructive challenge
  • Living inclusion through collaboration, partnering, being approachable and empathetic.
