About the role

SLD Pumps & Power (a Carrier company) is one of the UK's leading suppliers of pumps and generator rental equipment. We are currently recruiting for Operations Supervisor who will be responsible for operations in one of our depots in Paisley.


As an Operation Supervisor, you will have no set parameters as the seniority of the role dictates that the commitment required enables decisions to be taken daily to enable the smooth running of all aspects of the depot function.


The overall objective is to provide Health & Safety with in the Depot, ensuring that all are employees are put to work safely.

What is more, your goal will be to increase the Depot revenue, develop a stable workforce. You will have to lead your team with integrity being fair and balance with decisions that you make.

Requirements:

We are looking for people who have relevant
mechanical experience - ideally with Pumps or Generators. If you are communicative, confident and would like to develop on supervisory position, get it touch.

As a minimum you must have:

  • Relevant Mechanical experience Pump or Generator if possible
  • CSCS Cards


  • NVQ Level

  • HNC Engineering
Although not necessary, it would be nice if you have:

  • Supervisory skills
  • First hand knowledge of the performance and maintenance of all products
  • Excellent IT Skills (word, excel)
  • Administration Skills
  • Sales Skills
  • Product knowledge

As an Operations Supervisor, your responsibilities will be:

  • To take the lead on aspects of H&S
  • Leading by example
  • To ensure that all assets are available for hire
  • To ensure that all assets are aesthetically and mechanically of a very high standard
  • Deputizing for your line manager as the need arises
  • To take responsibility for the daytoday running needs of the depot
  • To deal with customer's problems on site as they arise
  • To assist with internal problems in the depot
  • To liaise and work effectively with the Company's sales team and operational management;
  • To assist with the free movement of equipment among all depots;
  • To be responsible for all maintenance records within the depot;
  • To work closely with the Depot Manager to act quickly where problems arise within the depot and to establish an open system of communication to ensure the consistent treatment of problems.
  • To Assess and maintain health and safety needs in the depot; lead by example with continuous improvement.
  • To ensure all paperwork/documentation is uptodate
