Philanthropy Assistant

Full Time - 40 hours per week FT (Note: early finish on Fridays) OR will consider part time across five days a week


Location - Flexible with a requirement for regular weekly attendance at HALO's office in Wilton, Salisbury.


Salary - £26,775 based on 40 hours per week


As our Philanthropy Assistant, you'll be the first point of online contact for many of our supporters, and your efficient and warm communication will ensure our supporters feel informed and valued.

You will enjoy building and strengthening relationships in writing, on the phone and in person.

We are looking for the right person, with the right energy and work ethic to join our team.


Essential qualities:


  • Collaborative, team player, with a good sense of humour
  • Comfortable with Microsoft Office suite, transferrable skills from the fields of administration, volunteering, customer service or business support
  • Numerate with experience of spreadsheets
  • Excellent communication skills and efficient at time management
  • Transferrable knowledge of databases/CRM systems would be beneficial (Training on Salesforce will be provided)
  • A strong commitment to delivering excellent service to HALO's donors

Requirements:


Key Responsibilities
The Philanthropy Assistant supports the philanthropy team to provide stewardship to our supporters, with a specific focus on the database and the stewardship of mid and low-level donors

  • Ensure all supporter communication and information is held accurately on the CRM database, in full accordance with GDPR. On a daytoday basis this includes adding new records, gifts and updating key information (Training will be provided).
  • Provide administration support to the team as required, including flexible support to priority areas of work across the team, e.g., information gathering, database management, research and sourcing of information, drafting of written content, proof reading and formatting of documents
  • Act as the key liaison with HALO's finance team to ensure that all donations, including bank transfers, online giving (on HALO's website as well as through third party sites), cash and cheques, are tracked and recorded accurately. Keep relationship managers informed of income to enable high quality stewardship and thanking.
  • Manage the Fundraising, Events & Legacy Inbox's, including responding to enquiries from supporters and those interested in HALO's work and escalating where required. Provide guidance and administrative support to individuals wishing to fundraise on HALO's behalf.

Job Purpose:

The stewardship of mid and low-level donors, building long term support, and to co-ordinate the administration for the Philanthropy Team including database management.
