Description
Gowan Crop Protection is looking for a EUMEA Labeling Specialist. He/she will help and support the Gowan Crop Protection (GCP) label team with day-to-day tasks. The EUMEA Label assistant will have a wide range of duties to complete.

This position will work side by side with the GCP labelling specialists, supply chain, customer service, production facilities, suppliers, commercial team, MSDS Coordinator, Regulatory Specialists, and consultants.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Work directly with the GCP label team to support and assist on any ongoing projects necessary.
  • Required to complete a lot of administrative tasks essential to maintain the efficiency of the GCP labels team.
  • Work with label and packaging suppliers to ensure ontime delivery, optimal pricing, and products exceed quality expectations.
  • Communicates directly with internal regulatory specialists, customers, and commercial team to coordinate artwork requirements.
  • Works closely with production planners to ensure artwork is completed ontime and materials are ordered in advance of production to accommodate vendor lead times and transit times.
  • Run monthly reports for Pre-S&OP meetings / update dashboard sheet.
  • Assist in maintaining databases and label version control.
  • Assist by collecting and collating correct text / edits / codes (barcodes, UFI, EAN etc.) / assets / specs / original artwork from outsourced designers.
  • Assist in confirming label requirements with customers, distributors, productions.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:


  • Basic knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite programs (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) would be advantageous.
  • Organizational and process improvement skills with a positive attitude and desire to help within a high performing team are a top priority for this position.
  • Willingness and desire to learn new systems, software and stay ahead of new and developing technologies.
  • Team player, with focus on a helpful group ethos
  • Able to handle stressful situations, always looking for creative solutions in difficult circumstances.
  • Excellent communication skills interact constantly with different cultures, must be mindful and respectful of cultural diversity clear and timely communication.
  • Attention to detail, effective planning of multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Able to work within a team, but also can work autonomously.
  • Bilingual a plus.
