    Job Description

    We are seeking a highly skilled Sales Engineer/Cost Estimator to join our dynamic MRO Sales Team in Bournemouth or Farnborough. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of aircraft maintenance documentation, cost estimation, and proposal preparation.

    Responsibilities:

    • Analyse and interpret aviation documents including Aircraft Maintenance Manuals (AMMs), Service Bulletins (SBs), Airworthiness Directives (ADs), Supplemental Type Certificates (STCs) and design/modification documents.
    • Prepare detailed cost estimates and build competitive customer-specific proposals.
    • Develop accurate and comprehensive quotes for services and parts.
    • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely delivery of proposals and solutions.
    • Research market trends including parts pricing, maintenance schedule and competitor offerings.
    • Liaise with customers and internal departments throughout the front-end planning process.
    • Develop and maintain databases used for sales and quoting.
    • Assist with collating and correcting data for invoice processing and generation.
    • General and technical administration as required.
    • Attend client meetings industry events and conferences requiring occasional travel.

    Requirements:

    • Strong understanding of aviation documentation (AMMs SBs ADs STCs and modification/design documents).
    • Proven experience in sales or engineering within the aviation industry.
    • Excellent analytical skills including cost estimation and proposal preparation.
    • Ability to research and analyse market trends competitor offerings and pricing strategies.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain client relationships.
    • Proficiency in collaborating with internal departments to ensure seamless project execution.
    • Self-motivated detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple tasks.
    • Willingness to travel occasionally for client meetings and industry events.
    • Familiarity with aviation software tools and systems preferred.
