About The Service

Cardiff Parenting 0-18 is part of Cardiff Council's Early Help Services, available to all families living across Cardiff with a child or young person under 18.

Cardiff Parenting 0-18 is grant funded by Welsh Government and complements the parenting services offered in Flying Start areas of Cardiff.

Within Cardiff Parenting 0-18, both group programmes and individual programmes are available. Collectively, the Parenting Services are led by a Senior Educational Psychologist.


The Parenting Groups Manager (Cardiff Parenting 0-18) manages a team of practitioners who deliver group parenting programmes and manual led 1:1 programmes across Cardiff.

We have office bases across Cardiff.


About the job

What We Are Looking For From You

  • Evidence of continuous professional development
  • Proven experience of working within a service team or project for early years children, young people and their families
  • Experience of working in a crèche setting
  • Proven experience in developing a programme of activities which engage children; meeting individual needs and the child's developmental stage
  • An understanding of, and experience in dealing with, safeguarding issues in relation to children, young people and their families

Additional information
This post is part time and will work 18.5 hours per week. The salary shown however relates to 37 hours per week and will therefore be pro-rata'd accordingly.


Please note that this post is temporary until 31st March 2024, to cover the secondment of another member of staff.
