Cleaner/ Caretaker


REPORTING TO:
General Manager


JOB PURPOSE:


HOURS OF WORK: 6am - 11am Various days Hrs)


Main Purpose of Job
We aim to uphold the utmost standards in cleanliness, safety, and hospitality for both our members and visitors.

Reporting directly to the General Manager, our goal is to guarantee the seamless, efficient operation of the golf club and its related services.


Duties & Responsibilities

  • To ensure the interior and exterior of the building and grounds are maintained to a high standard.
  • To assist as instructed in the day to day running of the Golf Club.
  • To display a can do, approachable and helpful attitude and be on hand for any queries.
  • To be responsible for opening of the golf club at the start of the shift.
  • Ensuring that Health & Safety and licensing requirements are adhered to.
  • Operation of all emergency procedures & building maintenance i.e. fire alarm, emergency lighting and heating system.
  • Assist with preparation of rooms for hirers use where necessary.
  • To deal with any other matter which would facilitate the smooth running of the golf club, or as may reasonably be required by the Manager.
  • Dusting, sweeping, vacuuming and mopping surfaces in their work area including living/working areas, bathrooms, kitchens and supply closets
  • Refilling and restocking cleaning supplies and toiletries (hand wash, toilet paper, paper towels)
  • Maintaining cleaning products and ordering new supplies when necessary
  • Taking out the garbage
  • Carrying out minor maintenance tasks such as replacing displaced toilet seats, unclogging sinks
  • Conducting monthly disinfection and deep cleaning

Requirements:

A customer focused, friendly, people person. Experience of cleaning, manual handling, with knowledge and understanding of the health and safety aspects of the role.


Authority & Discretion
You will normally report any deficiencies to the General Manager and. In their absence you will be instructed further on any additional authority.


Liaison
You will be expected to liaise with the appropriate staff and also the Directors of the club. Your immediate supervisor will be the General Manager from whom you will normally take instructions.

Job Type:

£10.42 per hour
