We will offer training in:

The Maternity and Gynaecology department includes all hospital and community based
obstetrics, gynaecology and midwifery services. 44 consultants contribute to our obstetrics
and gynaecology service, of which 18 are obstetric consultants, 18 gynaecologists, and 8
combined obstetrician and gynaecologists.
The hospital based services are split between the City hospital and Queen's Medical Centre
sites. Both have a labour suite which is associated with a level 3 Neonatal Unit, dedicated
obstetric anaesthetic service, and inpatient and outpatient obstetric services. There is a 3
tier junior doctor 24 hour presence. Our fetal medicine centre accepts regional referrals, and
is delivered across the two sites. There is a dedicated maternal medicine service, with multiprofessional clinics including obstetric haematology, renal, and medical. There is a strong
research presence in the department, with Nottingham contributing to, and leading, national
and international clinical trials.

This post will also include one day a week participating in Obstetrics and gynaecology activities including general ANC, general gynaecology clinics, labour ward, assessment areas and theatres.

As O and G is a cross site service, the post will involve working on both the Nottingham City Campus and Queen's Medical Centre Campus
