Founded in 1933, the practice comprises 26 partners and approximately 280 staff supplying a range of services spanning audit, corporate taxation, private client services, VAT and forensic accounting, together with a range of sector groups offering specialistindustry knowledge.


The Department:
The department consists of two groups, Compliance and Financial Crime Prevention (FCP). These make up the Firm's overall Practice Protection team.

Headed by two Partners, the department deals with all of the Firm's regulatory, Anti-Money Laundering (AML)and day to day compliance matters.


The Role:

We require a FCP Analyst to join our team.


Duties & Responsibilities:

The duties of the role are varied and cover two main areas:
CDD (Client Due Diligence)

  • Conducting CDD on new clients
  • Reviewing straightforward and complex CDD information and authorising in accordance with the Firm's AML policies
  • Conducting electronic verification requests
  • Gathering CDD information from Companies House and other open sources
  • Directly requesting CDD information from clients
  • Responding to CDD queries from Members of the Firm
  • Advising the Firm on deficiencies which need to be resolved before client due diligence is considered complete
  • Investigating Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs) and other high risk clients
AML/FCP

  • Acknowledging and drafting Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs)
  • Making reports to the National Crime Agency (NCA)
  • Providing assistance as and when required on the client facing service offering
  • Completing CDD checks on client money accounts and providing support for quarterly client money reviews
  • Supporting the coordination for any AML regulatory visits
  • Participating in Practice Protection projects as necessary
