Description

First Achieve's Engineering Division are currently looking for an experienced Quality Inspector, to join our client who is an innovative company, manufacturing critical precision components in exacting quality standards for the aerospace industry.

The function of the role is to ensure that all inspection functions, including set up and operations of CMMs are carried out in an efficient and effective manner; liaise with production personnel on drawing interpretation and highlight critical dimensions;and endure any defect components are progressed through systems as quickly as possible.

The role is a permanent position Monday-Friday (dayshift).

Salary is in the region of£28,000 - £34,000
annum, plus company pension with potential overtime paid at enhanced rates.

Responsibilities

Goods in, First Off, Running, Pre & Post Subcon, and Final Inspection.
Maintain inspection records.
Process nonconforming product in a timely manner.
Prepare First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs)
Check and calibrate Measure Equipment.
Process customer returns.
Proficiency in first principal inspection methods.
Observe Health & Safety and Environmental Policies.
Liaise effectively with other members of the department and the company.

Essential Experience & Qualities

Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
CMM awareness setting, interpretation & reporting
Equipment calibration
Manual measuring equipment ie, Micrometers, Verniers etc.
Manual handling incl. usage of slings and lifting equipment
AS 9100 awareness

Desirable Experience

Auditing experience in a similar environment
Critical parts awareness
Aerospace production knowledge
PCDMIS awareness
