Description

The post holder must have proven administration experience and will be involved in working as a member of the admin team to support clinical staff and provide a comprehensive, high quality administrative service at all times.

You will undertake a variety of duties including answering busy telephone line, reception duties, dealing with day to day queries, updating patient information system (RiO), sorting incoming/outgoing post, completing work from a shared inbox/work tray as well as other administration tasks, all under the direction of the PWC.

Experience in last 12 months of working in a customer / patient focused environment (face to face and telephone).

Excellent communication and interpersonal Skills.

A good understanding of the RIO system (not essential as training given to those who have not worked on this system before).

A good working knowledge and experience of using Microsoft word/office packages.


Good verbal and written communication skills Ability to be self-directed, motivated and be able to contribute positively within a team.

Well organised and structured Ability to change tasks at short notice, reliable and punctual.

Excellent keyboard skills.

The post holder will be expected to demonstrate flexibility in the role.


The post holder will be able to demonstrate the ability to deal with possible exposure to highly distressing or highly emotional circumstances and will be expected to participate on all relevant training courses appropriate to the role.

You should currently hold the required level of qualifications, as outlined in the Essential Criteria of the Personal Specification. If you do not meet this criteria you may not be shortlisted.
