We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Years Teaching Assistant to join our team at a highly reputable school in Morpeth, Northumberland.

As an Early Years Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the Early Years Teacher to provide high-quality education to children aged 3 to 5 years old, ensuring that they receive the best possible start in life.


Responsibilities:


  • Assist the Early Years Teacher in planning and delivering engaging and stimulating lessons in accordance with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.
  • Work with individual children and small groups to support their learning and development, including playbased activities, reading, and creative tasks.
  • Assist with the assessment of children's progress and provide regular feedback to parents and carers, including written reports and parentteacher meetings.
  • Work closely with other members of the school team, including the Early Years Teacher and other Teaching Assistants, to ensure that all children receive the support and guidance they need.
  • Contribute to maintaining a safe and stimulating learning environment, ensuring that all equipment and resources are appropriate for the age and ability of the children.
  • Attend regular training and professional development sessions to keep uptodate with the latest teaching methods and best practice.

Requirements:


  • A relevant qualification, such as a Level 2 or 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education, Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
  • Experience of working in an Early Years setting, with a good understanding of the EYFS curriculum.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • A passion for Early Years education and a commitment to ensuring that every child reaches their full potential.
  • A positive and enthusiastic approach to teaching, with a willingness to go above and beyond to support children's learning and development.
