A great opportunity to become part of our busy team, we rarely have positions become available and is an excellent opportunity for any animal lover.

You must be a hard working conscientious person with excellent animal and people skills. You will be required to answer the phone and speak to the public in addition to animal husbandry. Main duties will include animal care and cleaning. Full clean driving license required to drive our charity vehicle. More mature applicants encouraged to apply.

This can be both a rewarding and sometimes challenging and due to the nature of the role it can be physically demanding, all weather, sometimes cold and wet Animal poo is included, its not all about stroking.

Ensuring that animal enclosures are maintained
Cleaning out kennels, pens, cages and changing bedding

Socialising with the animals
Feeding and watering animals

Accurately recording vital animal information

To be considered you will:


Be proficient in basic numeracy and literacy
Have a passion and confidence for animal welfare

Have an enthusiastic and committed attitude
Be reliable with a hardworking approach to the job

Previous experience of working with animals would be considered an advantage.

We require an enthusiastic person with high standards,l you must be comfortable and confident with animals and a willing to learn.

Please note this is not a regular job, it requires commitment and can be challenging at times. You will be on a weekend/ bank holiday rosta. The right person is important so we are open to part time or full time applicants

9am-4pm, 1 hrs unpaid break 3 days flexible
