Description

The School of Sport and Exercise Sciences seeks to develop its world-leading profile by the appointment of leading academics across the core disciplines of Sport and Exercise Sciences.

The school has a national and international reputation for world-leading provision of Sport and Exercise Psychology education and training.

You will be expected to contribute to the academic work of the School of Sport and Exercise Sciences across undergraduate and postgraduate levels within the discipline of Sport and Exercise Psychology.

The school is also looking to develop new curriculum within the area of Esports. Therefore, you will be expected to support curriculum development, teaching, research and applied practice in the Esports domain. Prior experience of working in this field and the design of curriculum would be a distinct advantage.


You will engage in research and scholarly activity in their area of expertise to extend the school's high quality research outputs and impact within the Sport and Exercise Psychology discipline.

You will work collaboratively with academics across the world-leading Research Institute for Sport and Exercise Sciences, including colleagues in the Applied Sport Psychology Research group, the coaching and pedagogy research group and the research exchanges.


To contribute fully to the school's BPS accredited and HCPC approved programme provision, the appointee will be expected to hold HCPC registration / Chartership / accreditation, or be currently undertaking, or in possession of the entry requirements to undertake, a HCPC Approved Education provider programme to be eligible for Sport and Exercise Psychologist registration.


You will also be expected to contribute to broader school strategic agendas, including recruitment and outreach activity, and fulfil any other duties commensurate with the grade as deemed necessary by the Director of School or Line Manager.
