**Public Liaison Assistant/General Site Administrator

What you will be doing:


You will work on our Infrastructure project and frameworks Ideally, you will be based locally, although we are open to subsiding relocation.

This is a joint role, with approximately 50% of your time to be spent on each function.


As a Public Liaison Assistant, you will assist the Public Liaison Manager in carrying out their duties to ensure that our clients and customers maintain a positive, clear and up to date understanding of the works we deliver & why.

You will support the operational teams in delivering key messages to stakeholders & communities in line with the client and project requirements.

Whilst carrying out your role you will promote the business and overarching company values, developing strong and professional relationships that will enable us to strengthen our relationships with customers and key stakeholders.


As a General Site Administrator you will work efficiently and effectively with the Project Team to provide an administrative service to site management.


Public Liaison Assistant:


  • Proactively develop and nurture strong, professional and collaborative working relationships with our customers, supply chain and other key stakeholders.
  • Act upon the instruction of the Public Liaison Manager to implement public engagement plans for the specific projects you work on, including but not limited to:
  • Building relationships with all stakeholders and hosting/attending stakeholder forums
  • Being a contact on site for residents, local businesses and retailers, members of the public, and all other stakeholders
  • Communicating our construction phasing and the disruptive impacts of our works clearly and in advance to all affected parties
  • Dealing with and responding promptly to enquiries and complaints and maintaining a register thereof
  • Assisting with engagement with schools, further education, and workplace agencies to raise awareness of construction opportunities
  • Assisting the Project Manager to deliver our community benefits obligations including where/ when Apprentices, Graduates and Work Experience will be engaged
  • Assisting the Project Manager to achieve Considerate Contractor status
  • Acting as a standin for the Public Liaison Manager when they are not available
  • Support the PR aspect of your activities, promoting activities and updates via social media (LinkedIn/ twitter/ yammer) as well as good news stories that can be used internally/ externally in line with the project and customer requirements.
  • Produce monthly reports including performance against KPIs, social value, community benefits, feedback and complaints, stakeholder engagement activities, engagement with schools and further education, awards and ceremonies, and anything else related to the role.

General Site Administrator:

  • Assist with the production of letters, reports, records and documents as required, including those required for compliance with the Business Management System.
  • Assist with the requisitioning and placing of orders for materials, plant and subcontracts.
  • Support the team with printing and copying of documents and ensure printers/plotters are appropriately maintained and
- replacement materials available.

  • Open and distribute incoming post and frank and despatch outgoing post, in accordance with Company requirements.
  • Assist new starters to the company.
  • Keep control of the purchase and issue of stationery. Maintain stationery stock at the required levels.
  • Provide general administrative support and undertake the filing of documents and maintenance of electronic filing, including acting as administrator for Viewpoint document management system.
  • Deal with incoming calls and visitors to the site office as required.
  • Manage meeting room bookings and ensure that any requirements for refreshments are agreed and arranged prior to meetings.
  • Ensure that timecards are completed for all weekly paid staff, including records of holidays taken.
  • Any other administrative duties as directed by the Project Manager.
