Raw Materials Planner based in
Milton Keynes for a Manufacturing company.

The experience required _

As a successful
Raw Materials Planner, you will have the following:

  • University degree or equivalent in a technical discipline (industrial/process engineering, quality etc).
  • At least 3+ years of experience planning and buying raw materials in the UK and internationally.
  • Strong IT skills with experience using MRP/AX Dynamics systems.
  • Good understanding of logistics, stock control and ISO.
  • Excellent negotiation skills.
  • Full clean UK driving licence.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Lean and Six Sigma practices.

The role _

As the
Raw Materials Planner, your role will involve the following important duties:

  • Buying and calling off raw materials against agreed targets and demand.
  • Purchase and stock management of raw materials, consumables and boughtin finished goods.
  • Ensure products are delivered in a timely manner at the correct price and service requirements.
  • Identify and manage raw material suppliers from a cost, service and quality perspective.
  • Ensure effective coordination of raw material planning and scheduling.
  • Maintain and create purchase requisitions, converting requisitions/demand into purchase orders.
  • Create and monitor supply chain KPIs and evaluate supplier performance.
  • Manage deliveries, freight forwarders and customs clearances as necessary.
