Job summary:

As part of our new, in-house Uniformed Security Team, you'll provide a reassuring presence for staff and visitors to HMGCC while maintaining the security of our site and buildings.
You won't be on your own; you'll be part of a supportive, inclusive team environment where your contributions and perspectives will be truly valued.
With your customer service skills, you'll welcome people to our organisation and make sure they understand the procedures that keep the site safe and secure.
You'll have GCSE English Language to grade C/4 or above, as you'll also advise stakeholders across the business, verbally and in writing, on security best practice.
As you'll be monitoring security systems such as CCTV and the Automated Access Control System (AACS), you'll have an eye for detail to identify any concerns.

Job description:
Using your unique and diverse range of skills within the Uniformed Security Team you will,
- Be responsible for the physical security of HMGCC staff, visitors, and its assets.
- Prevent unauthorised access to site in accordance with current policy.
- Conduct receptionist duties, welcoming and booking in our visitors to site.
- Conduct site and building patrols and security checks.
- Monitor and operate CCTV and AACS systems.
- Conduct security checks using airport style Xray equipment.
- Respond to system alarms and incidents.
- Conduct vehicle, staff, and visitor searching.
Person specification:
- Experience in a customer service or public facing role.
- A good standard of English, GCSE English Language grade C/4 or above, and confidence using Microsoft Word and Excel.
- A reasonable level of fitness is expected in order to attend incidents and carry out daily duties.
- CCTV and AACS (Automated Access Control System) experience.
- Familiarity with recording information in written format.

- Is prepared to undertake the required training to fulfil this role.
